Who needs counselling? You do if you feel over-worked and under-appreciated, and you do not find time yourself. The result is that you might feel unhappy, stressed, frustrated and your relationships might be suffering.

How can counselling help? By providing a safe area for you to talk and explore issues that you find difficult or impossible to share with someone who knows you. Together we aim to restore well-being and balance when you feel overwhelmed by daily life.

My name is Dr Carol Place and I offer person-centred counselling within the premises of a private dental practice. Also, I provide solution-focused sessions which use your strengths and resources in order to resolve an issue that is problematic for you now. You can set a limit on the number of sessions.

When you visit us I have a receptionist and a waiting area with tea and coffee so you can relax before your appointment.

My counselling approach is underpinned by the person-centred philosophy of Carl Rogers. As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice. You can also find me at www.itsgoodtotalk.org.uk, which can show you the benefits of counselling.

Please take the time to look through my website, if you have any questions then please email me in total confidence or ring and I will be happy to talk to you.
